I have seen many posts about how removing dummy files improves performance. I have also seen people state that their rebuilt game runs faster, improved load times.

My question is whether or not it's advisable to rebuild all games to increase performance and reduce wear on the ps2.

    Is this valid?

Well the amount of games that need to be rebuilt is fairly low so it would just be whether you want to spend the time to do it. But also remember so games can't be rebuilt and some games won't work at all if rebuilt so it's up to you.
