Free antivirus

    Hi,
    Now a days there are so many free antivirus. I would like to know what is the best free antivirus? Is it save for my desktop?

    I use the free version of AntiVir.
    Initially, it nags a few times to upgrade to the paid version.

    I use the free version of Comodo Internet Security, which combines their free anti virus and their firewall.

    avira has been good to me.easy on system resources.does nag to buy paid version.

    I have been installing Rising free version.. seems pretty good (no callbacks) but it didn't get on very well with a fista machine recently so that got avast.
