FTP WONT WORK PLEASE HELP

    ive already softmodded my xbox with softmod auto install version 2.0 and i have an evox dashboard, but the problem is i downloaded flashfxp and i put in my xbox ip (192.168.0.2) and the username (xbox) and password (xbox) but it tries to connect but all it says is connection timed out. And i am using a router (i dont know the brand). if you have any suggestions pleaseeeeeeeeee help ive been working on this for 4 days straight and it just wont work! 0:

    your using a static connection. you need to go to your network settings on your xbox and change your ip type to dhcp then it should work.

    same thing happened to me with a static ip and x over cable and i still havent figured it out but i think mine has to do wid me usin a usb ethernet port because my cpu no have on.(Old peice of ****)

    you can buy a pci ethernet adapter for like $10

    You did switch it to dhcp and try it again didn't you?

    try this:
    Got to Start->Run-> and type cmd
    at command promt type "ipconfig/all" without the quotes
    then list what it says.
    now what did you enter into the Xbox?
