Hey guys, it's time for a little giveback!

So I have a new Slim PS Two with a Fliplid and Swap Magic 3.3 So far everything has worked perfectly (played about 10 days, 4 to 5 hours per day). You can use a 'backup' of a gameshark cd (I have 4.1) and the cheats work just fine.

For anyone out there who is still wondering the easyest way to mod a slim PSTwo (like I was) this way seems to be very good.

Thats my opinon, do with it as you please.

Yep, I agree. I've been updating a thread in the DVD backup discussion talking about v12s only. Lots of useful info in it.

Out of curiosity, do you burn backups using +R or -R media? My v12 will only read +R.

Is it really possible to use gameshark on backed up games? If so I'm guessing you use the SM first, then a backup copy of gameshark then the backup game. Is this assumption correct?

    RemyK313, I've only used +R so far.

Jsp0t, sorry, but I havn't tried using my backup gameshark disk with a backup ps2 game, but I'd assume after a few swaps it should work just fine.

Yes, here is the process I just used:

    1) Boot Swap Magic CD Version
    2) Boot GS V4
    2a) Choose cheats
2b) Save cheats to memory card
    3) Boot SM DVD Version
    4) Boot DVD PS2 Game

Where did you get a backup copy of GameShark v4?

Eeek, you shouldn't be asking for where to get backups. It's funny, we can discuss every single aspect of PS2 piracy, except for where to actually get backups.

But yeah, WHERE to get pirated stuff is the drawing line for the boards, and it's against the rules here.

    So, don't ask anymore :p

(search p2p networks like eDonkey servers, DC++ hubs, bittorrent on the internet, or the kazaa network. We can't tell you where, but that's basically where EVERYONE gets their illegal stuff)
