Is it possible to merge several game images onto one DVD? So that I could select the different games somehow? Like having 4 PSX games on one DVD instead of 4 separate CD's.

    Try this: http://rapidshare.com/files/31155910/Multiloader_v1.33_English.rar.html

This is part of the read me file that came with it.
    "USE OF THE SOFTWARE:

The most complicated part is to edit file MULTI.XML , but for it i've attached an example file MULTI.XML.
The only thing that there is to do is to pay attention to the commentaries and to fit itself well to which it puts.
In the example five applications are loaded: PGEN, PS2MEDIA, PS2MENU, NAPLINK and HDDFRMT.
But everyone can put so many applications as it wants, good not so many ;)

In order to be able to play with games that originally came in format CD is necessary to patch them with the
program Dvd Scan Lite 3,5 by Sonix available in www.alucard.cc we have to patch the main executable,
the IRXs and xxxxxxxx.IMG with option DVDR.

Another thing, do not copy the SYSTEM.CNF of the games."

I have never tried this as I don't have many CD based games. Maybe it can be of use to you though.

...Okay, this is one of the most confusing things I have tried to use ._.;; And also, I cannot find that DVD Scan Lite thing anywhere! And the 'example' of the multi.xml doesn't tell me how to do it for games... How do I use this at all? It's confusing....

To be honest I'm really not sure. This particular set of files came with a huge download I got and it said something about loading multiple games onto one disc. As I don't run PSX backups and have only 2 PS2 CD games that I backed up I had no need for it and have never tried to use it. Just thought it might help. Maybe try some searching on it. Maybe there's a tut. I don't know. Sorry I can't help more...>8(

Just found this for ya. Though it sounds more pain than it's worth. Even says success rate is low. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/124706
Not sure on the needed tools I really don't have time to search for you right now. Try google or torrents.
sksapps.com and alucard.cc are good resources also.

I've gotten so confused with the multi.xml template, I just stuck with what worked and still use CD-loader until this day. The only difficulty I see with making a multi-game compilation is two things. First, trying to get two similar games working in conjunction together on the same game disc but has conflicting file names i.e. Disgaea 1 SNDPAK.PAK and Disgaea 2 SNDPAK.PAK and secondly, converting specific PS2 CD based games like my Growlanser Generations (GLGN). I've tried using DVDScanLite on GLGN but have had utterly no luck and thinking about posting on alucard.cc for someone to help me out and remedy this problem.

The easiest way to get games working is to have very different specific games with no folder name or file name conflicts. Right now, I'm still trying to get Disgaea 1, Disgaea 2, Makai Kingdom, La Pucelle Tactics and perhaps Growlanser Generations all into one disc.

I'm not doing it with PS2 games anyway - I'm doing it with PSX, as previously stated

Oh? In that case, playing PSX games on a DVD is entirely not possible to do. Unless someone has managed to post a very comprehensible tutorial explaining how she/he did so, it has not been done (yet).
