If my German is hard to understand it's probably because I'm using a translation website! I don't speak a lick of German :p

StarForce is, to my knowledge, an absolute nightmare to back up, if at all. Here's an interesting article:

To the best of my knowledge, Starforce cd protection can't be backed up. Maybe with Alcohol 120% and RMPS or by emulation, meaning mount the image of the protected cd(s) and try and play with a virtual stealth drive such as Daemon Tools.

i read that i could be backed up but only when uninstalling all virtual drives and by burning on cd-rw's of some brands. weird.

Where did you get your source of information? Maybe one can backup Starforce to a "some brand name" cd-rw's and by un intalling all emulation software....

I cant really offer any advice on backing up starforce protected games. i know it can be done though, i have 3 working .bin files of doom 3. loaded in latest version of Alcohol and installed from images can't say if 1:1 is possible but with a no-cd crack it's playable (thats good enough for me;)

Daemon Tools mounts images not bins. You need to extract the image from the bins first.
