GAMESHARK V2 won't boot the ps2 version disc

    ok i got the game shark v2 with 2 discs, one for ps1 and the other for ps2. but the ps2 says that i need to insert a valid ps1 or ps2 cd and that is valid but it won't load but the ps1 cd loads, but won't cheat for the game inserted

    This might sound weird, but try starting the GS2 disc with the PS2 in the vertical position. It seemed to make my PS2 read the Gameshark disc a little better for some reason.

    Simply put, your Gameshark v2 disc will not work in a v7 PS2. You'll have to contact customer service regarding getting an upgraded Gameshark disc. Note that they will charge you for this.

    Try their homepage. I think they charge $10-$15 for the upgraded disc. I haven't kept up with the Gameshark since v1.9. Not really worth the money anymore as far as I'm concerned.
