I used to be ResNet staff last year and there enough workarounds (including the infamouse badnwidth cap hehe).

My adivce, look through the documentation on the ResNet (i.e., all that technical mumbo jumbo that the ResNet posts for people somehow interested in it hehe). They list out restricted ports and such and alternatives.

I'm in Canada :p But generally you dont REALLY have to be a technical guru (although it does help). Usually if you plough through it there will be something like "Access to ports blah blah blah are restricted blah blah blah" and stay away from those ports hehe.
