Hi to whoever is reading this I hope someone out there can help me out.
I live in the UK and have a PAL PS2, I recently went to Bangkok and bought some copied PS2 games. When I came home I posted my PS2 away to be chipped. It had a Magic 3.1 chip fitted - at the store where it was fitted it was tested with a copied PS2 game that had been copied from a PAL game and it worked fine.

However when I got it back it would only play original PS2 games, original and copied DVDs.

Have I screwed myself over by buying copied games from Bangkok that are copies of NTSC games and am trying to play them on a PAL PS2.

Or do you think the PS2 was knocked in the post and one of the solders have come off.

    Can anyone help.

    Cheers

if it has a chip dont matter if it's ntsc or ntsc/j or pal... a ps2 will play it... thats the whole reason of a chip dude... to play imports... probably something went wrong with the install...

NTSC games should work fine on your chip so there should be no reason why these games shouldn't play. maybe the Bangkok games were crappy copies. or maybe even just blank dvds.
