GQ brand?

    Fry's Electronics store brand. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole myself. You may get passable results for data. There's a damn good reason they're $9.90 for 50 and it isn't because they're great quality.

    I tried their CD-R's one time. Neither of my optical drives would even recognize a disk was loaded. Never a problem with any other CD's, even other cheapies.
    My impression, GQ = anything but great quality. Haven't tried the DVD's but chance for satisfaction probably better from slot machine.

    I've used their CDs as well and they aren't anything to write home about. I keep a few around for the times I need a "single use then trash it" disc like when I need to transfer some files to another PC. Based on the quality (or lack thereof) of their CD media I never considered their DVD media since I can't imagine they're any better.
