graphic card help

    my computer has an nvidia 6100 gpu setup with an available pci-e slot would i be able to upgrade the nvidia gpu please help i really don't wanna call the geek squad. thing thing that i'm confused about is that it has an integrated nvidia card but what throws me off is the pci-e slot ive never dealt with pci-e only pci so someone please help.

    PCI express is merely PCI's newer bigger brother.
    What you need to consider:
    Is your power supply good enough? (Unless you specified which one you want, probably not. Report back with the brand and rating and I can advise)
    What will you use it for?
    How much can you have to spend?
    These two questions determine what type of card to get. Make sure it's enough of an upgrade from what you have now!
