I use a NTSC to PAL converter to play US games in colour. Without it they play in black and white whether on a SCART tv or not. All the games play fine, DVD games and CDR games. But when I play a film DVD (original or backup) the colours go weird and they have a strong green tint to them. It's like the old green screen monitors. Good for the eyes but shit to watch a film with.

I also have this problem. Did you find a fix?

    Yes, well kind of.
It was due to my TV I think, can't handle NTSC picture or something. I still have the green screen on my old crap TV, but a friend has a fairly new 32" phillips wide screen tv. It has sockets for the white/yellow/red lead (2 audio, 1 video, provided with ps2) on the side and when I use them it works fine.

Did you solder in the green-screen fix wire as mentioned in the Messiah install guide?

Yes, it's because of the NTSC signal and the crap tv. It works fine on a newer television.
