Hi, i have a pretty old modchip in my ps2, its an 8 wire Neo i think...i am trying to boot up GTA San Andreas using the following method...

    1) Turn on the ps2 with GS2 (holding down the ON/RESET)
    2) Select Start Game (Still Holding ON/Reset)
    3) Press EJECT (while still holding the ON/RESET button) and swap GS@ with DVD Original Game.
    4) Press EJECT to close (Wait 10 seconds)
    5) Then select WITHOUT CODES. Wait until disc stops.
    6) Now let go of reset and the tray comes out, Swap DVD Original Game for a backup DVDR press X just as the tray starts to go back in (IMPORTANT)

everything works fine but after i press X in step 6 the screen goes blank...like its goin to load the game, but instead it goes to the ps2 menu screen, where you can choose either to browse the mem card or the ps2 game. when i press to run the game it goes black and back to the same screeen.

i use GTA vice city as the swap dvd because it has a TOC sice of about 4.34 gigs and GTA san andreas is only 4.19....can anyone tell me how i could solve this?

i have never tried running dvdr backups so i dont kno if its the game or the chip thats the problem...

pls help.. any info is appreciated..

ive heard of things such as dvd loader n cogswap...but im not sure wut they are...maybe they can help

    thx again
