    Hi.
Does the file download at the top of the guide include all neccessary files needed to play back up iso games once the custom firmware is installed. If not please could you let me know what I need. Your guide is very thorough, a lot more than others ive seen, but the others mention things like popsloader etc.... do I need these, or does the download you suggest include all files needed. Sorry but am still new to this. Cheers

Hey, you can use this to downgrade a 3.71 Official firmware without a Custom Firmware PSP or 1.50? Also does it work on Vista?

    Thats what the guide says!

All you can do is try it. Some have used Vista perfectly fine using this guide and others have had issues and ended up needing to use a PC running XP.

512MB to 1GB is recommended but some have used above 1GB perfectly fine. It just depends on the Memory Stick itself. All you can do is try it.

My son's PSP SLIM did this as well.

I did a google search of it and evidently this is normal and has no side effects at all.

I don't know how reliable that information is but it was the answer to all the threads I had read and looked up.

But I installed 3.71 M33 to his PSP SLIM after this had happened and everything went perfectly fine.

Just to put an another question at you directly, where does the NAND going to be a problem actually?

Is it when your have trashed your PSP with custom cintro themes etc, and it fails?

    thanks:)

The answer is pretty much never, though, sometimes even the Pandora can't fix a brick and that's where NAND recovery steps in :)

If you just mess around with flash0 then your Pandora would easily fix it like normal.

    Great guide, thankyou.

Will this method downgrade my psp slim from 3.80 before installing the custom firmware or have i misunderstood how this works?

That is the only link available. You need to figure out why your having the issue your having.

Do you think if you could use a normal Battery to install the custom firmware I would give options between a Datel Tool battery or hardmodding it? If you still don't get it then the answer is NO you can not use a normal Battery and Magic memory Stick to install the custom firmware.

It will install 3.71 M33-2 to your PSP (in a way it will downgrade from 3.80 official to 3.71 M33-2).

when I start the psp with datel tool battery and memory stick, nothing shows but the green lamp -no menu, nothing. Any idea what I did wrong?
Maybe it was because I was unable to do that last step in DOS, because it didnt show. Why is that? Has it something to do with the fact I use Vista? Or did I misunderstand entirely, does this tutorial not work for official 3.52?

    Answer would be much appreciated

    EDIT

I tried with Windows XP, it worked fine then to install. Problem was Windows Vista. Great guide
