if this is true,,this is real bad,,
Yes, real bad for the hackers. Sony has their guard up right now. They are rebuilding their system preparing for future attacks. I would say this would be the worst time to hit Sony unless you are wanting to get caught.
They are ballsy I'll give them that. You have the FBI, Homeland Security, other international law enforcement agencies plus the people that Sony hired looking for you and still they want to attack.Ballsy or dumb?
Check the update, it happened. I wouldn't say dumb because they seemingly know what they are doing.
Kind of embarrassing for Sony, that they couldn't stop this even with the announcement.
the update does not state when it happened. SOE could have been hacked before ,after or at the same time as the PSN
It was Julian Assange! Yes, the USG has been unable to charge him with breaking any laws because he hasnt. So now they will have "evidence" which links him to this, which is "solid" and undeniable proof!
I am being a little sarcastic there but also a little serious, say they do catch someone but they make a mistake and dont know it. All the angry psn users will not have a second thought about that person being innocent, as long as someone pays for the loss of psn.
Governments have done this many times. Just look at 9/11 all the evidence still points to it being an inside job, the defence again those pieces of evidence by "experts" was not very expert at all. Yet the people believed them. We started 2 wars, killed 100,000+ innocent civilians in Iraq alone, along with thousands of "terrorists".
And now 10 years later we get the "main guy", everyone rejoices as if killing that single person makes up for the injustices committed by the US military and justifies the murder of those 100,000+ innocent civilians.
So just like that, they could arrest any hacker or innocent person who's IP was cloned, the people will rejoice when they are sent to prison and never look back.
Mind sharing that aluminium foil hat of yours?
Aluminium foil? you are behind the times lad, we use transparent aluminium these days.
If this happened again so quickley it's probably an inside job! Someone's really got it out for sony!
No sony patched the server that they were using to get into it. This should be proof that sony used outdated servers and they are lying that they were up to date, may not have been a psn server, but one that was used to access the psn.
So hackers have lost the backdoor and will now need to find other loopholes if they want to carry on.
im sure the war will go on,if they cant get to the psn servers,,theyll hit sony somewhere else, they have before
Sony was doing a good thing allowing people to install other os "Microsoft windows or linux" why Sony allowed this only they know but it was the biggest mistake Sony have ever made and now paying the price big time. did they really think they know operating systems better then the people that make them!!! hackers made so many back doors to the ps3 i bet Sony close one then other back door opens. would not surprise me if MS have had they hands in some of this hacking ps3...im sure the people that make os know how to cover there own back doors!!
