Hey all, I've got all the dvd files on my drive for a particular movie...But when burn't it does not play in my player, Even though my players region free.(never had trouble with anything else either)

Is there a way to modify the region, via the video_ts/dvd files on the drive, then re-burn it in the new region?

Im sure im barking (mad?) up the wrong tree, but just wondering if its poss.

Many many thanks for tthe time.

How did you get the files on your hard drive? Every DVD ripper that I'm aware of will remove region coding by default.

What type of error are you getting when you try to play the disc?

What software and methods did you use burn? What brand/type media?

When i tried to play the file using powerDVD or burning it to backup dvdr it told me the region of my player was unable to play the disc.

I downloaded dvd decrypter, patched all the video files to region free.

Reburnt it and it worked a treat.

Sorry fot the waste of time :(

    but thanks for replying promptly.

    Best Regards
