halo problem

    i have halo 1 for pc and i have played it lots of times, yesterday i cleaned my computer and reinstalled xp, and then i reinstaled halo, but now when i try to play a window appears telling me halo created a problem and it must close and i dont know what to do. I HAVE PLAYED HALO ON THIS PC BEFORE and it didnt give me probles hope u can help me, i use direct x 9
