What is the best advanced settings?
    Here's what i want:
    .
    1. Best quality. The video size will be 1024x768. I dont like blurry images, i want it to have the same sharpness as the original.
    2. Smallest size.
    3. Fastest decode on my media player and lowest CPU usage on my laptop.
    4. Dont care about encoding speed.
    .
    .
    .
Thanks... please help me because the advanced settings are very confusing.. :[
Does 2pass encode have better quality?

Windows XP Pro, Intel Pentium M 1.4GHz 1.5GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon 9600/9700 Series AGP 64MB, 1024x768 screen resolution.

I skip advanced settings. and on the video tab select constant frame rate, Bit-rate set at 2500 to 3500 kbps, 2pass encoding, sometimes turbo 1st pass.
Audio tab I select the default stream then kick the gain up to compensate for thos low volume rips and tweak the DRC to around 2.5 so I don't get hit with a huge volume jump in the middle of the movie. Best solution for you is to read the manual so you know what the settings do. If you don't understand what it does don't change it.
