My 80gig HD just started making some load noise, so I want to buy a new larger HD before the old one fails. It was a hastle and time consuming intalling the OS (XP Pro) and all the programs and games on the old drive (not to mention 2000 Itune songs), is there a simple way to transfer the OS and programs from the old drive to the new drive?

You could use a program like Norton Ghost, and all your data would be intact, you wouldn't have to install an OS or copy any files.
