hard drive problem

    i have a prob with my maxtor 160gb hard drive it keeps buzzing and is no longer is regonised in my pc i tried setting it as slave still not working. i can even format it
    any ideas

    try another data cable & reseat old data cable as might have partly come off the connector.

    can you try it as a slave on another pc?

    get a new hd if that 1 is not under warranty.
