I hardmoded my battery (or atleast tried) and I put it back together. I put in my psp and the battery charge level wont go higher than 1%. Can I still downgrade with the charger in?

No. The battery must be charged at 75% or higher. Sounds like you did not hard mod your battery correctly. Follow this link. It shows how to properly make a Pandora Battery by hard modding it.

Could be a defective battery. Or a trickle charge. Is it an official SONY battery? 3.6v 1800mAH? Age of battery?

If you have a Magic Stick give it a try with the charger connect and if that doesnt work, just throw it to the trash can... its complicated.

LIKE drakex said make sure you have your magic stick and the battery in first then plugin the charger. And if it did not power automatically than manually turn on the power. I tried myself and it work, when i was try pull off pin 5 it touches another pin and smoke came out and i though i just wasted 30 dollar. However, i was tikering around with it work by following the step i said above.

    good luck..
