    could anybody tell me if it is possible to go on xbox live using the hardrive

    yeah, I don't really know what your talking about either.

    If you mean is it possible to go online with the modchip, you can't. the chip, when activated, will not let you access xbox live. don't attempt it, either, because if the xbox detects your chip, then you're pretty much screwed.

    If you're talking about a hardrive, where theres a game on your hard drive completely installed, the same rules apply as above. You can, however, still use xbox live if you want, even if you are using a larger hard drive, as long as you are playing the game with the store-bought game.

    bt "screwed"...you mean you wouldnt be able to access live WITH THAT XBOX...if you went and bought another xbox you'd be good to go...correct?

    correct, OR bought another motherboard for that xbox.

    just make sure that your Live Auto sign on is turned off, you can change this in the xbox preferences on the MSdash, and just dont try to access Live with the chip turned on.
