if so, did you re-author or burn full disc.
I burned full disc and quality wasn't great because of the compression. So i then re-authored just the episodes and was pretty good, but some episodes had directers comments turned on. Does anyone know how this happened?

    assuming you are using shrink
you probably have the Director Commitary Box checked for the episode that it is happening in.
uncheck that box for each episode.

I backed up mine with shrink, full disc, and it looks fine. you can adjust the compression levels for various parts, so I lower the extra features, so the actual episodes are higher bitrate, and they look fine.

I don't remember, somewhere around 60% probably. I put all the menus and extras at lowest quality to boost the episodes to highest quality. I've backed up the first three seasons and they all look fine on my 32" TV.
