    Hi Medpilot
    One word - ripoff.
    A quote from their page:
Unlike some download services that claim to be "free" we actually offer you the ultimate best value for a small upfront fee.

The original Shrink is freeware so this site just looks like they're capitalizing on Shrink's name. Shrink has always been freeware.

There are free tools that you can download for free - no fee required.
Like RipIt4me and DVDFab Decrypter. Both are updated to handle the latest copy protections.

Not free but the easiest combo out there is AnyDVD and CloneDVD.

All the above programs offer great support and no going to a 3rd party website to get them.

I'd check those out before shelling out any $ to DVD Shrink 2007.

I've been using DVDFab/Shrink for the last year with no problems. I was just curious if Shrink had been updated or someone was capitalizing on the name, as you mentioned.

    Thanks for the info :)

    Not a problem :)

I'd hate to see someone get dupped into buying something just cause some site is using Shrink good name.

Unfortunately Shrink is no longer updated. The developer is w/ (or was at least) Nero now.

Sounds like a ripoff. DVD Shrink hasn't been updated for nearly 3 years (since 2004). DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 is the last version because Mr. Shrink has gone to work for Nero (Ahead) and therefore he created Nero Recode, which is the newly redesigned DVD Shrink.

It looks like they are not actually charging for DVD Shrink itself but charging a fee to use the download service. Heh heh, people are always trying to figure out how to make a buck.
