just downloaded a game, and when I finished dowloading it i got a load of rar files and files named R30 files. I havnt got a clue on how to get them on a standard dvd-r 5 disc, this my first ever attempt of trying this so its only natural that i would have some difficulty. I would apreciate if someone told me to go in the right direction, someone who has burned these sort of files before.

    thanks

i trust you own the original of the game you downloaded?

open the R.01 file in winrar (http://www.rarlab.com if you dont have it)
extract the iso out of there.
burn the iso in dvd decrypter (http://www.dvddecrypter.com) at 2X maximum.

you dont have to burn it at 2x max. I burn up to 4x and have no problems. Also when you extract that file, it is going to come out as another rar looking file. IF you try to extract that, winRar is going to say the file is damaged. Dont worry though, it is only because winrar doesnt reconized that type of ISO image. Just burn that image with nero image burner and you should be good.
