This is probably a dumb question but I was reading where the HD-DVD drive has it's own power supply. I know you have to plug it into the Xbox usb port, but do you have to leave the 360 on to watch the movie or just have the HD-DVD drive on by itself?

You would still need the Xbox 360 on. It plugs into the USB port on the 360, and then uses the HD cables plugged into the 360, to display the HD-DVD.

Thanks for the reply. I think it's strange to have the Xbox on during HD-DVD playback especially with the overheating issues.

Ya, sometimes I really don't understand Microsoft... Actually, I don't understand them a lot.
