    My sony hd tv doesnt have hd tuner (no coaxial cable in back of tv) are there any way of getting hd channels without having to get a cable box or sat. receiver. Maybe antenna or something, somebody help me out please

    NO you will need a cable box or sat. Can't use an antenna as you need a tuner but don't worry not many stations offer hd to open air anyways.

    Yes you can use a set top box to pick up all of your local channels in HD when available. Some also incorporate a clear-QAM tuner which can pick up unencrypted digital cable if you have an analog cable line already.
