hd loader and mod chip

    i have a few questions i already have a network adapter
    1. i was wondering if u need a mod chip to use hd loader 2. do u need to have the original disc in the tray when you play off the the hard drive
    thanks in advance sorry about being a noob at the ps2 hard drive thing

    You need a mod to get hdloader to run, if you dont have the original HDLoader disc. You dont need the original games in the PS2, when running from the HD.

    You can use the original hdload with a non chipped ps2, but you will not be able to install backups on your hdd.
    You can use the original hdadvance (ver. 1 and 2) with a non chipped ps2 ! and! you will be able to install backups on your hdd.
    please note that not all games work when running from hdd
