hi Mate, I actually dont use the box anymore took it out, was starting to give trouble, menu freezing couldn't change chans, if a line glitched the box was talking for ever to unscramble and then it wouldnt connect to the line at times had to turn the box off totally and even then it wouldnt always connect, so in the end just took it out, the missus was starting to lose the plot with it, not sure if you experienced anything like that on yours,so have thrown my old Ferguson Ariva back in and its working perfect, the last batch of firmware seems to have fixed the issues some of these boxs were having,

If a chan is gone, just retune the box to the new frequancy

 

Hi Mickah, how do I go about retuning the box to get the new frequency?

Just bt sport, setanta and Asian channels showing no signal. Think all boxes lost them and need retuning but I have no idea how to.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

 

Menu - Installation - change it to a manual scan and enter in the freqs for those chans missing, you will get the freqs below, I think you need to rescan more than just that mate, over 50 changes in the last week, more yesterday it would seem

That is a great help. Only BT Sports 1,2 and ESPN not working. They have changed again.But its easier to re tune 3 channels rather than 50+.

right, i had to move my dish today, and am trying to realign it!

on an old sky box there used to be signal strength section in the menu, anyone know of an equivalent on this box?

would rather not have to buy a signal strength reader

 

There is a new firmware dated from 16th of Sept, have loaded to the box as I was getting issues with the box freezing on chans, freezing on the menu's, if the box glitched it was sit at scrambled chan for 2 mins, where other boxs glitched for a mere second or so

Is this box worth buying now? I cant move my dish, its an old Sly dish would this be suitable to work or would it need to be moved?

Ive been using this box for about 12 months now and never had no issues. Only thing is i recently updated my channel list via usb and have now now lost my hotbird channel list. Does anyone have an updated channel list for hotbird or does anyone have a way of getting these channels back.

Having a problem with my dish I think. Needed to move it, so I set it up on a new position. Have it aligned and picture is coming through perfectly on channels with a vertical frequency. But getting very low audio on those channels.

On channrls with horizontal am getting no picture or sound.

Any one any ideas?

 

sounds like yer dish aint correct mate, think your gonna have to invest in a meter, is the LNB new or old, may need to be replaced in case its dodgy

 

That's what I thought, but I aligned it with a dish meter and got a new lnb, same issue. The lack of horizontal channels is an alignment issue. The lack of sound (is actually very low sound rather than no sound) seems like I have a different issue.

I have 100% 'Level'and 70% 'quality', picture is spot on, sound is low. Confused....
