for some reason ive lost space somewhere. i ran the dms hddd format tool and it says my hd is 76gb with 64gb free. all i have is 8 gig worth of games installed (gtasa and gta3) can someone explain where the other 4 gig is? also explain why i cant send either gta game over my network via hdl_dumb as the program gets stuck halfway through..

Little late but you forgot to add the 5% rule for hdd capacity. I bet your hhd is "said" to be 80 gigs, but after bad sectors, give or take, you lose around 5% of your hdd. so 5% of 80 is tada 4gigs about.
