does any body know if a pc hard drive can be used instead of the internal hard drive ?????????????
yes, but it requires some work. im not sure about everything, but im pretty sure you have to have a modchip.

Does the hdd work as in place of a memory card/s or are will it be eventually used for paid downloads?
you can use the hdd for booting up psx games and ps2 games from it... it can be used to use a linux based os... and for many emus of roms such as gba neogeo sega and so on... it can also store game saves aswell...
