I'm not new to the whole HDTV thing but I did have one question. Is there really a difference between a 15 dollar HDMI cable and a 75-100 dollar HDMI cable. I bought one for 12 dollars on ebay and it works fine but I was wondering if someone had a cheap one and an expensive one and if there was any difference in picture quality.

For short runs (maybe 12 feet or less) the $15 cable should do just fine.

No one wants cheap stuff. But that doesn't mean a well built cable should be expensive. No there is no difference if both cables are well built meaning that the contacts are solid and the di-lectrics are not damaged or altered during any part of the manufacturing process.

My brother in law has an $85 dollar HDMI 6' cable and I have $5 one. They both work the same.

I feel sorry for anyone that actually spent that much when the lower price ones work just as good. Thanks all.
