This is the only place I found acceptable to ask this. Is it possible to hook a PC headset to an Xbox headset?

Aka can I attach this 3.5mm headset (headphones and mike):

yea i think that is possible. But youll need to open up the xbox controller and do some soldering. the xbox headset is detected as a usb device, so im gessing its possible to connect that. the xbox controller acts as a usb hub. so find a diagram of an open xbox controller and study it a bit mayb. i duno

Well, the headset shown there is what I have and I got it from Best Buy. Its not a USB headset, its just a normal 3.5mm headset with both Microphone and Headset jack. I was thinking there might simply be a thing where you plug both in and it comes out the 2.5mm jack for the headset. Ne1 else know if thats possible? Seems like it to me. i'll do some research and see if I can find any disected 2.5mm or 3.5mm jacks.
