Hi. I am splitting audio from a TV show I downloaded so I can put it on a DVD. Its incoded with a certain type of audio format, so TMPGEnc can't encode the file with audio normally, so I am forced to take the long way (saving a wav file of the audio with VirtualDub, and changing its format into an mp2 with besweet. its already worked for me several times, but now I've run into a huge problem. All of a sudden my computer just plain won't read MP2s! Nor will it recognise the MP2 as a compatible file with TMPGEnc. Every time I try to play the mp2, it crashes any media player I try to play it with. "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and needs to close" the same goes for winamp and divX. Please can someone help me? I'm totally clueless, because it was working fine yesterday. I actually merged an mp2 with a video last night, and it worked fine.
you may need to re-install the mp2 codecs http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_software/audio_encoders/toolame.cfm
