Ok, so I'm a complete idiot with techonology stuff like this, thats why I'm asking for help.

I just bought a Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 9 80 GB hard drive. I've checked several sites and they all said that it is compatable with my network adaptor and the HD advance program. So I tried to attach the hd to my adaptor, but on the adaptor it needs a 40-pin slot thing, but on the hard drive there is only two long pieces, not the 40 pin part. Am I missing some part or do I need to get a different hard drive? Hopefully someone understands what I'm saying and can help.

Could you tell me the difference between the SCSI and SATA drive please? I have a feeling I got the SATA one.
