    how to burn avi to a dvd-r? can someone give step by step instruction of how to do it? i would greatly appreciate it! thx

    Windows Movie MAker 2 can burn directly to a DVD-R or you can use Nero to convert the file using Nerovision Express and create your own DVD complete with menus etc.

    hi, maybe you can use winavi to convert your avi file to dvd format first, and then burn the dvd to DVD-r.
    By the way, you can download the winavi video converter from http://www.winavi.com
