I have a Product Called Draxter Ultramem - 64mb Flash drive and file browser for ps2.
I am trying to use it to install the independence exploit to my memory card so i can format and start using my newly purchased hdd. But there are no dedicated threads for this product and the company seems to have stopped support.

My problem is that I need to know how? and which files, to MANUALLY transfer from my Mac to my ps2 memory card via the flash drive!

I have downloaded plenty of .ELF files, but have tried using the ones included in the tutorial from this site

    http://www.mikestyle.com/tutorials/exploit.htm

I make my title.db file, and load the boot.elf (keyloader) kl.dat title.db and all other .elfs to the BEDATA-SYSTEM folder on my ps2 mem card, but when I load up my trigger disc it just hangs on a black screen!

All the tutorials stop their explanation of the process before the end, as the CD install method, and the ARmax/codebreaker methods allow for a level of automation to put the required files onto the memory card! (basically the tutorials just say..."load up the cd as you would a copied disc and it will automatically put the required files on your MC")

can someone tell me.. after installation of the exploit (by whatever method) what does the memory card have to have on it to be a working exploit? I'm worried I am not manually copying ALL the required files, or i am missing something for keylauncher to load?

what does a memory card with a working exploit on look like???

    PS. I have a (ver.7) SCPH-39003 PS2, official PS2 8Mb Memory card

    Please Help!

There should be a single file on it called Iscentral, I think, depending on your version of the Independence Compiler, it might be called something else.

    ok so i did it!!

Just took it back to basics, created a new title.db in windows
and made sure I had all pal ELF files, and then I erased the old BEDATA-SYSTEM file that was on my memory card, and copied over a pre made one from my flash drive and voila!

maybe erasing the old system file first was the key? or maybe a dodgy title.db?

If anyone is interested in trying to use their own 64mb flash usb drive to manually copy the files, i have posted the image of the ULTRAMEM CD and the contents of the ULTRAMEM USB Stick here

    http://www.mydatabus.com/public/skullsandbolts/ULTRAMEM.zip

maybe it is possible to duplicate the ULTRAMEM with third party USB Sticks and a CDR? to create your very own Action Replay or Codebreaker! The ULTRAMEM can also Hex Edit, Save Patch, Play MP3s, View JPEGs and Launch ELF Files.

remember... the CD still boots as a playstation disc, think it uses crazy taxi?
