[HELP] gaming problem wit 2253bw 22" samsung monitor

    i got a new computer and a moniter 2253bw. The monitor looks nice but when i play games such as warcraft 3, combat arms , and soldier front it show up as a square and ther are 2 black lines on the left and right sides i try settin the resoultion but still it wouldn't work but when i am on the destop it is full screen no black line or anything anyone now how to fix it. I am runnin window vista ultimate

    More than likely, that is a symptom of your video card not being up to snuff.

    I could be wrong though, but that is a nice monitor.

    if the monitor is a wide screen version instead of square then the games can't run in wide screen mode. it is like watching a wide screen movie on a regular tv but have black bars above & below the movie instead of the movie filling in the full screen. check games sites for faqs & patches & updates.

    yeh i update everything even my video card it still wouldn't work i bring my 24" acer and test it everything was workin fine in window and game so yeh

    is the acer a square screen or a retangular screen?

    The acer will be widescreen, there isn't a 24" 4:3 ratio monitor commercially available that I know of.
    What resolution are you using, and what video card do you have?
