Hi to whoever is reading this I hope someone out there can help me out.
I live in the UK and have a PAL PS2, I recently went to Bangkok and bought some copied PS2 games. When I came home I posted my PS2 away to be chipped. It had a Magic 3.1 chip fitted - at the store where it was fitted it was tested with a copied PS2 game that had been copied from a PAL game and it worked fine.

However when I got it back it would only play original PS2 games, original and copied DVDs.

Have I screwed myself over by buying copied games from Bangkok that are copies of NTSC games and am trying to play them on a PAL PS2.

Or do you think the PS2 was knocked in the post and one of the solders have come off.

    Can anyone help.

    Cheers

    well lets see

    1. you can't talk about ilegal backups here if you do not edit your post you will be baned
    2. why don't you make a back up of one of your games and try that
    3. if that doesn't work your ps2 should have a warrenty from the site that installed your chip and if they do complain and send it back and they'll fix it

Thanks for your message and advice. The copied games are back ups of games I already have I got them in Bangkok cause I hadn't seen them anywhere in the UK and don't know how to make back ups myself.
What do you think though does it sound like a solder has come lose?

Ok that makes no sense whatsoever. Come on lets admit it, most of the people posting on here are software pirates (except me) but its just not cool to talk about it on here. you have to word your statements carefully.

Lets get real, how many people buy modchips to play backups of originals they own. What a fu**ing joke.
