HELP HELP : W/ FLASHFXP FTP : HELP HELP

    If someone could please help me, I was told that the first thing you do when you want to get a connection after you connect cable to computer via the Xbox is that you:

    1. With you DSL/CABLE connection go to local area connection properties.
    That is what was done.
    2. Then you go to the Internet Protocol and double click it.
    That was what was done.
    3. Then I was told to click use the following IP address.
    That is what was done.
    4. Then I was told to type in:
    IP Address:
    192.160.0.100
    It automatically typed in the following subnet mask:
    Subnet mask:
    255.255.255.0
    5. Then I was told to leave all the other boxes clear and press okay for all the altered boxes.

    I was done with that and I had established a connection between my xbox and my computer and it show I had 100 MPS or something like that. When I did an ipconfig it showed what I had typed in the subnet gateway, and the ip address. The next step that I was told to do is with flashfxp was:
    1. go to sites.
    2. Then go to site manager
    3. Then go to new site
    4. Then type in any site name.
    5. Then type in the ip address which I said before (which is the Xbox ip)
    6. Then to leave the port as 21.
    7. Then type in the user name and password and that was Xbox and Xbox.
    8. Then to leave the rest blank.
    9. Then press apply
    10. Then press connect.
    All of this was done.

    The only thing which went wrong was connect. When I tried to connect on the right hand bottom box it showed,
    "WinSock 2.0 -- OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004
    [R] Connecting to Xbox -> IP=0.0.0.192 PORT=21
    [R] Connection failed (Connection timed out)
    [R] Delaying for 120 seconds before reconnect attempt #1
    [R] Connecting to Xbox -> IP=0.0.0.192 PORT=21 (attempt # 1)"

    Thank you for your time and I hope someone can find a solution.

    Ok so if you're just using a cable it has to be a crosswire....if not you would have to use a router/hub and two cat5's. Anyways easiest way to set up your settings,goto your lan connection and right click it then properties. Then in the window highlight the (TCP/IP) and click properties. Here you will enter in the info for your pc...eg,

    IP-192.168.0.224
    Sub-255.255.255.0
    Default-192.168.0.10

    These are the settings that I use,now you goto your xbox and change the IP to STATIC and set them as so;

    IP-192.168.0.225
    Sub-255.255.255.0
    Default-192.168.0.10

    Now you notice that the IP's are one away from each other? The inportant thing is that they're not exactly the same.

    Now once this is done hook up all your cables/cable and turn on the xbox. Open flash FXP and goto site manager. You will use the settings;

    IP-192.168.0.225
    User-xbox
    PW-xbox
    port-21

    Now connect.
