Dbl click my computer> right click on the drive that has your DVD>
    left click on explore.
If the screen is blank I am afraid you have lost it.
How did you put the data on your DVD disk?

Try installing Magic Iso Maker and see if you can somehow access it that way. It is strange that nothing is on the backup but you never know. Maybe you did something to it where only Magic Iso can read it.

That is why it is best to double check and make sure the back up information is on the disc and accessible before doing a format.

You could also try to install ISO buster and see if it can find any thing on the DVDs and extract it off the DVD for you.
