Help, i cant connect

    i recently re installed a copy of windows xp, and now im trying to go online with enternet explorer to update my display drivers .
    when i click on the (E) it gives some type of error could not find enternet connectcion I believe is we
    hat it says but my ethernet cable is connected properly

    does it show the network card in device manager?

    Make sure you have a Cat.5 cable, if you have used the same cable in the past and it worked, there is no need to worry about the cable. Go online (on a different PC) and download drivers for your network card.

    DDP Beat me to it, If it shows it in the device manager, type the brand and model number into google along with the keyword 'drivers' and download new drivers for your card.

    @DDP, we posted at the exact same time... interesting...

    if I download drivers on another computer ,what is the best way to get them to the correct computer? thanks in advance guys

    a floppy disk maybe, a cd or an usb memory stick

    Just wanted to say thanks again, im now connected, i didnt know that i was missing audio drivers also, but everythings is working fine ,,,thanks
