Hello all. I've have a few problems. I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to launch the SM program from memory card. If it's possible, how do I go about it? I was originally trying to install Swap Magic on my HDD, but kept getting an ERROR message. After about 200 attempts, I gave up and tried to make a backup of it so I can install SM into HDD through my PC. Still got ERROR message. Used DVD Decrypter and Nero to backup disc. Both gave me ERROR message. Disc is new (just bought it) and functions properly if I boot it with my PS2. Am I missing a step? I have success using this method if backing up games, but is having trouble with backing up SM Disc. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

Almost the same thing hapened to me, i couldn't backup my swap magic because a tiny scratch (really really small!) allows to see through it. So the computer could not make a ISO but it's working in the PS2. Don't know how or why !

I don't think you could since you need SM to boot from memorycard.
If you find something let me know!
    Thanks.

I don't know if you can boot swap magic from a mc, but you can boot cogswap and cdloader from a mc.

    hi

no u cannot make a backup of SM because it uses special laser writing methods that were created by the creators(dont remember the name of creators...lol) and it also has alot of protection so i suggest to not waste ur time trying to burn SM cause its just not going to work.

The whole reason why you use swap magic is because backup copies of games are missing the data that lets the system know that it is an original. So do you think a company that puts out a disk to try and get around it would accidentaly smoke too much crack and forget to protect their own software from being pirated. I don't think there is even that much crack in the world.
