I got an .mkv file so I found the Matroska container installation (http://ld-anime.faireal.net/guide/mkv-eng). I installed the file and the .mkv file successfully played in my Windows Media Player, but it was choppy. I found a "Tweak" option in the Matroska file menu, so I clicked on it. My PC basically started churning away but al the apps were stuck in a hung state. After several minutes of no response, I rebooted the PC. The PC wouldn't boot up after that!!! I can't even get into the BIOS menu. Arrrrgggghhh!!!

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Got any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Welcome to the world of spyware and virus's.

I'd suggest that you have d/l from a crack site and now have a heap of trojans and spyware on your system.

Yeah, I fear that is what may have happened, but this Matroska container seems legit, so now I'm not sure. To make things worse, I just shut off my XP System Recovery option :(
