I have acquired a file. It had no extension and was in an unknown format. I *thought* it had to be a .iso so I renamed it *.iso. Turns out it wasn't. I am now convinced it is an .rar, but I can't seem to change it anymore! I can rename it to *.rar but the .iso icon remains and unpacking gets errors. Help? How do I un-iso it?

Go to your control panel, go to folder options, then click the file types tab, then unassociate .iso files from winrar, after that rename it and reassociate .iso files to winrar.
