HELP NVIDIA 6800 GT GRAPHICS CARD

    HELLO,,
    I have a 6800 GT card installed.. recently it as started flashing little pixels all over the screen. then when i start a game up to play, it all goes funny screen then resets..
    Any ideas what is wrong with it..

    maybe the fan might not be working properly. The artifact you see on your screen are because the video card is overheating.

    When you play a game, the video card is getting hotter because games are real hard on video cards. That is mostly why the game is crashing. the card over heats and the whole system crashes.

    Open your pc and turn it on.
    make sure your fan is working properly and it runs smoothly.

    Checked the fan its working. changed the power lead, that seams to have stopped the artifacts but when try to load a game it wont work.
    Tried a performance test software it does the easy and medium 3d grafix but wont do the hard grafix.
    Still baffled..
    please help doin my nut in

    make sure you have the latest firmware of every thing and then check the cards temperature

    I have the latest graphics drivers from nvidia and the card running around 70..
    Still resetting when i try to play games or benchmark test.
    Last nite tried the card in my mates pc runs fine plays ganes no errors..
    So wot can it be.

    its a 6 pin i think

    which drivers are you using
    i'm using 77.77's on mine
    but there may be a lot better ones
    now... that driver was stable on initial
    install way back when GT's were the card
    to get... hope that helps my 2 pennies

    Thanks guys sussed it,, My copy of windows went tits up,, some fault somwer.
    Formatted it and running fine now.
