Help on CD and DVD media for PS2

    I use Maxell, but I also hear Ritek04 is really good.

    As for CDs, if they're generic, unbranded media you should probably stay away from them. I'll tell you from experience that cheap media can actually be a total waste of money.

    I used to buy Fujifilm branded discs, they were supposedly Taiyo Yuden discs (which are supposed to be good) anyways, every single game I've burned from those skip horrendously during FMVs, and some games become unplayable (meaning that they won't load) after a few minutes.

    I now use Sony brand discs, which are supposedly RICOHJPN discs. I paid three times more for these discs, however, they're the only brand that have never given me skips, and their load times are just as good as the originals.

    also stay away from memorex. haven't heard good things of those media cd or DVD.
