Hello, not only am i new to this forum, but also to bittorrent. my friend showed me azureus, and it was a marvel for him, but for me it kinda sucks, im getting way slow speeds around 12kb/s . sucks :/ .

i have an ethernet direct connection so its not a router problem, nor is it firewall, cuz ive shut that shit down.

any have ideas on what i need to do to get my speed up, id apriciate it if you posted it here. thank you.

    1. Open up the ports Azureus uses anyway, you may have an internal router hardware firewall.

    2. Use port 53000 instead of a low number port.

    3. Set upload rates to around 25kbs and download rate to 0kbs.

thanks for the tips, but they didnt really help me much, i dont have a hardware internal router firewall. (i built this comp myself, using the other port didnt make a difference... but thank you for your effort.

It is better to have more seeders than leechers.

The last movie I got, took 3 days because everyone and their momma wanted it, but the numbers weren't astronomical, more like 270/255.

So, it is way better to have more seeders than leechers.

    Connected how?

And if I am understanding your question right, it all depends on the limits set by your isp.

I think he meant whether a low upload speed will result in a low download.

With most torrents/trackers, if you upload at 25kbs and over you'll be fine.
