    Hi Guys,

Need a bit of help setting up a HT-X 30 Samsung 5.1 Surround Sound system that the missus bought us for xmas.Basically the problem im having is that I cant get the sound system to play sound when the telly or satellite is turned on. I have it setup atm with one HDMI cable going from the HT X30 to my plasma telly (PS42C96HDX 42"). I thought that if the HDMI cable was connected to the telly and the function on the surround sound was set to digital that it should play the sound through the Surround Sound but its not. I have also tried connecting a scart lead to my telly and setting the surround sound to Aux 1 or Aux 2. The only way I can get it to work is if I connect a secondary lead (phono) going from audio out on my telly to audio in the SS. Obviously this is not ideal as I have seen a few of my mates systems and they all just use the one Scart lead.

If anyone had any ideas or suggestions I would be most grateful!
