For anyone who's interested in the question of why the movie can't be compressed enough the first time it probably has lpcm (uncompressed) audio. Shrink doesn't alter the audio and if the video is a small enough percentage of the disc's size it may require compression higher than Shrink's maximum to compress it enough for a DVD-5.
There's no problem in running it through DVD Shrink 2X. The first time with all the quality enhancements and Maximum Smoothness, after the first pass, Deep Analysis isn't necessary (much, much faster the second time around You have no idea . . . If you have set your "DVD Target size" as I have in my guide at "Custom" , 4360MB and you are a few MB too large, re-set your size to 4400MB thereby burning closer to the discs edge for this single disc BUT getting the whole picture on your disc - Cheers, Pete
